German sunlight battery is widely used in the computer room because it does not need water, does not overflow acid, and has very little acid fog. Batteries have a certain service life. If we do not understand the electrical characteristics of batteries and do not pay attention to maintenance at ordinary times, it will cause capacity loss and premature failure. Once the capacity of sunlight batteries decreases and does not reach the predetermined discharge time, it will not guarantee the normal use of electrical equipment, or even cause major liability accidents. Therefore, we must understand the performance of batteries and be able to correct them. Use and maintain correctly.
In order to maintain the capacity and prolong the service life of German sunlight battery, we summarize the following maintenance methods according to practical experience:
(1) Maintain appropriate spacing. Oxygen recrystallization process produces more heat in the battery, but less exhaust gas reduces the loss of heat. The internal temperature of the battery is usually very high. Therefore, the battery should be placed in a well ventilated position, arranged not too closely, and the distance between single batteries should be kept at least 10 mm.
(2) Keep the appropriate temperature. Excessive temperature, accelerated chemical reaction, and enhanced interaction between lead and acid make it easy to sulfate and reduce service life; low temperature, viscous sulfuric acid, slow electron dissociation speed, poor electrode activity and reduced battery capacity. 10-30 is a suitable temperature, according to the actual situation, various means can be used to adjust the temperature.
(3) Keep clean and hygienic. Clean the battery and rack regularly every week to keep the battery clean. The accumulation of too much dust will lead to bad contact between the connection points of the battery pack and change the voltage value of the battery during charging and discharging, which will easily lead to faults. When wiping batteries, remember to use dry cloth or brush, preferably vacuum cleaner.
(4) Inspection once a day. Every day, we should check the battery regularly. First, we should smell whether there is a slight acid odor in the air. If there is a slight acid odor, it is the acid fog discharged from the battery, we should timely carry out ventilation treatment. Second, we should see whether the shape of the battery is deformed, whether the terminal of the battery and the safety valve have leakage, whether the safety valve can be opened normally, and if necessary, we should replace the battery.

There are two discharge modes, one is direct discharge by load (when the load is large), i.e. cutting off the external power supply and releasing 70% of the total capacity directly from the battery power supply; the other is discharge by false load (when the load is small), which uses variable resistors parallel to the two ends of the battery group, cutting off the external power supply from the battery, using small current at the beginning of discharge, one by one. After the completion of the discharge current increase, do not immediately remove the false load, waiting for the full battery after unloading, so as to avoid the risk of arc in high current battery charging time.

The service life of batteries is generally about 8 years.
