Rational use of German solar storage battery to extend service life
The suitable temperature of German solar battery is about 25 degrees. The ambient temperature has an effect on the operation, life, discharge capacity and floating charge voltage of the battery. Sustained high ambient temperature will lead to increased floating charge current, increased internal heat, loss of water too fast, eventually leading to runaway German solar cells damage. According to the technical requirements, the ambient temperature should be controlled in the range of 20 - 25 degrees. When the temperature exceeds 25 degrees, the battery life will be reduced by half for every 10 degrees increase in temperature. Therefore, when the ambient temperature is not 25 degrees, the floating charge voltage of the battery should be reduced by 3 Mv for each temperature increase of 1 degree. Otherwise, when the ambient temperature is below 20 degrees, the service life of the battery should be reduced by half as much as the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees and the temperature is high, and the battery voltage should be increased by 3 Mv for each drop of 1 degree. The battery life is 5-10 years, so the ambient temperature is higher than 20-25 degrees, the service life will be shortened by half. From the above, we can see that the battery life is shortened, premature failure, and environmental temperature is the fatal killer of batteries. Normally German solar battery technology requires a design life of 5-10 years, but UPS battery life is determined by the number of battery charges and discharges. Not to use time to determine, overcharge or insufficient charge, long time high or low current discharge, temperature too high or too low, can lead to the failure of German solar cells, with the number of battery charges and discharges increased, the battery gradually aging, less than 60% of the nominal capacity of the battery, that is, battery life termination.
